As a new homeowner, I finally have the flexibility and control to do whatever I want to do with my home. It is a liberating but intimidating feeling; on the one hand, you have so much that you can do but on the other hand, you have to do it all by yourself. I spend a great deal of time researching how to optimize my residence for both comfort and aesthetics. My wife has let me make all of the major decisions and she mentioned that she likes seeing me tap into my creativity, with our new home. The most important addition that I decided on was having heated floors installed in all bathrooms, in the house. This was an easy decision, especially after talking to my HVAC provider. He mentioned that it is one of the most comforting additions to build into your home. I have had too many showers that ended with the cold feeling of stepping on cold tile. I once stayed in a hotel with heated bathroom floors and I have to honestly say that it changed the way I felt during my stay at the hotel. Since I have already installed a fantastic heating and cooling system, I think that adding some heated flooring would be the best next step for taking my home to the next level of comfort. I heard from a HVAC technician that it is also a relatively easy installation process which is very reassuring, to me. There is nothing more frustrating than having an addition take too much time and money.
